Because the focus shouldn’t only be on the clothing and should be on some accessories too. For me, that means going show-by-show to dissect the details of looks sent down the runway. As I always say it’s not what you wear, it’s how you wear that makes the whole difference. It’s a mind game in balancing practicality with style. And the easy loophole for looking on-trend and staying stylish is updating your accessories. They instantly add a glamour to the look with the added bonus of being experimental.
Ahead you will find accessories that can oomph up your look. From retro sunglasses, neck ties, silk bandanas, harnesses and so on, these fanciful add-ons can surely help you to transfer the good outfit to great one. And last but not least, “confidence is the best accessory you can always wear”. Happy Scrolling:)

TIES
You are probably used to seeing ties mainly on men, but if the runways showed us anything, it’s that this accessory is breaking down all current stereotypical gender norms.
Styling tip – Pair the accessory with a plain button-down or over a simple T-shirt. If you are planning to wear it on plain base, consider printed ones.

HARNESSES
We have seen harnesses as a micro-trend back in 2019 spring as a member of the lingerie trend family that was everywhere, but this time harnesses took a step away from the lingerie world and into the ready-to-wear one. If you remember my picture from last summer wearing a harness on a plain button-down (see below), this accessory will amplify any look guaranteed, mark my words.
Styling tip – Wear it how you like, on the T-shirt, blazers, dresses, button downs, suits anything where you feel the outfit is too plain, but you don’t want to add anything jazzy, opt for leather ones as they look really classy.

GLOVES
Runways are highlighting the trend since the pandemic started, look after look garments are accompanied by trendy gloves in bold colors such as candy pink, electric blue, neon green etc. Not an everyday accessory for sure but perfect to add a royal vibe to the evening looks.
Styling tip – Try something in fun color such as orange, pink, green or one in the tulle fabric, pair it with either strapless dress or a relaxed suit.

BELT BAGS
If you have been watching Chanel’s runway shows quite a while, you must be aware of the style already, It’s a brand’s classic. The mini pochette tied with Chanel’s classic gold thick chain or mini fanny packs/waist bags with the brand’s famous logo. Perfect for the day when you don’t want to carry a handbag but still want to add something dressy and bougie. The gold chain belt will give you a more accessorized look too.
Styling tip –Things to keep in mind when adding any kind of gold and bold accessory, do not go overboard with it, e.g., if you are adding a belt bag with a gold chain, do not add any other accessory that will catch the attention.

RETRO GLASSES
Y2k craze is still going strong, and runways are the proof. Sunglasses are my weakness, especially the retro ones, if you follow The Number Nineteen on IG you know what I am talking about, I actually need to start clicking pictures without wearing one, haha:) But in my opinion glasses have this uber chic vibe, and you can literally style them with anything and everything, plus you get to protect your eyes too:)
Styling tip – Look for the retro frames, the ones which are little more on the huge side or the exact opposite the ones that are too thin, white, pastels or even the classic black and brown frames look stylish, The only rule that I follow while buying one is, eyes should be visible through lenses, I prefer more gradient lenses. Gucci and Tom Ford are my favorite when it comes to retro shapes, there are few other that I really like, linking them below.

SILK HAIR BAND/BANDANA
Remember Emily’s style from Emily in Paris season – 2? The French style of silk ties and bandanas are the accessory highlights on the runways, incorporate the trend in your outfits for more youthful casual looks. Adding a silk hair tie or bandana is a perfect way to extend the time between hair washes.
Style tip – There is no rule when adding this accessory, it can go with summer dresses to suits to swimwear, if the color palate is chosen correctly, the slim hair ties can look chic on the dressy blouses too. Ensure the ties/bandanas are longer and able to produce trend-worthy knots.
