It is tough to take a call on one particular knit style when it comes to sweater. Whether it is a cardigan, cape, turtle neck or vest. Knit pieces are like any other basic essentials of the wardrobe. Exactly like that go-to plain white, black and cream tees that you may have. Sweater doesn’t have to be ugly always, there are plenty of ways to accessorize a basic sweater to put a look together. Also, the weaving pattern of the knit can also decide the look of the sweater, e.g., flat-jersey knit, purl-knit, rib-knit etc.

Sweater dresses are one of the biggest hits of fall/winter season. Turtle neck, balloon sleeves, cable-knit, ankle length, options are endless here. The oversized sweater dress whether it is short or a midi, it is a timeless staple.
Cashmere is another known fabric for its super soft, warm yet lightweight and breathable qualities, making it a must have for fall/winter months. Every year I invest in basic cashmere sweaters (in all basic colors), they make such a staple for layering, and they keep you super warm in those extra minus degrees without adding a bulky weight on the shoulders that most of the winter outfits do. Cashmere is bit more on the expensive side, because of its durability and elasticity which holds its shape well over a time, allowing us to enjoy its high quality and warmth for years. Time and labor-intensive cashmere production methods make it more expensive. Prices differs on the type of cashmere fabric and the construction. Sweaters made with the high composition rate of polyester and acrylic more than wool won’t provide warmth hence making them less expensive compare to cashmere. Always ‘READ’ the tag. Brands do mention the composition ratio of a fabric. Invest in good and use it for a longer time.
