Colors to wear this winter

Bright orange, lemon yellow and pink seem to be dominating the season, making the gray autumn looks bold and bright. Bold colors are making a statement this winter. French fashion house Chanel used red as a symbol of innovation in their fall/winter 2021 collection by introducing mini dresses and jumpsuits. Yellow was the superstar of Moschino’s suits and Marc Jacobs evening looks. Schiaparelli’s shocking pink collection is all about the shades of fuchsia. Seems like Balmain also approved the color for their outerwear.

Yellow offers a happy and warm base to your wardrobe. From pale yellows to mustards, shades of yellow can easily add a pop to your look. Generally, yellow goes well with other analogous colors like green and orange, but you can also pair it with rich browns or creams. Opt for a camel brown/beige midi or pants with yellow satin blouse paired with a rich brown coat or a chocolate brown sweater along with mustard yellow skirt/pants. Classy mess for sure!!

What would fall/winter be without an orange that matches the falling leaves? Orange is often described as an energetic, bright, happy and joyful color. It brings feelings of enthusiasm and excitement. It is an attention-grabbing color that tends to stand out visually. It is also known as a color of creative minds (no wonder why half of my wardrobe is pink). Pick any shade of pink pastel or hot pink, the color has plenty of happy notes included. Bright pink or pale no matter what age you are, it makes you look vibrant, feminine and refreshed. Different shades of pink can evoke different moods, like hot pinks are vivacious vs muted pinks represent youth and innocence while loud/shiny forms of pink elude sexiness and boldness. Whatever neutrals you have in your winter closet, try pairing them with any shade of pink. Cooler or fuchsia, to admire the inherent beauty of the color.
