As fall quickly approaches, it’s time to take a look at the runway trends that will set the tone for the season. I have tracked all the hottest fall-2022 fashion shows to see which styles and trends reigned supreme. Fashion month also means that street style is returning, and insiders will be test-driving some of the coolest trends that are set to be huge this fall. With items ranging from new twists on classics to risk-taking sheer dresses already set aside for their fashion week looks, there will be a lot of sartorial inspirations for your eyes to feast on. From a huge 80s revival to futuristic metallics and menswear inspired flight jackets. If there is one overarching message from the Fall 2022 shows, it’s that fashion is changing. Designers are experimenting with silhouettes and proportions.
Knitwear is everywhere already, but the biggest trend of the fall is return of beautifully made clothes that you can wear any time, any place. Witness the rise of the humble tank top, a wardrobe binder that rarely commands the spotlight, yet sat center stage at Prada, Bottega Veneta and Loewe. Ditto the flight jacket, souped up with sequins, leather and feathers, paired with ladylike skirts and thigh-high boots. The oversized blazer too packed a punch, teamed with everything from tiny metallic skirts and latex boots at Versace to baggy cords and sneakers at Louis Vuitton. Whether you feel like showing off or not, these clothes are going places. Savoir that freedom.
Following are the fall trends to keep you on your radar. Happy Scrolling!!

Purple Pieces –
Purple is a polarizing shade but love it or hate it, it’s happening for fall. Everyone from Bottega Veneta to Khaite and Stella McCartney sent lilac looks down the runway, the color feels easy and fresh while it’s still warm out and takes on an icy, edgier vibe for winter.

Chain Belts –
Have you seen my recent post pairing chain belt with an oversized smiley tee? See below. This is the trend from ’90s which got more popular on the runways of Chanel. Chain belts are very versatile and can transform any outfit, style the belt over a maxi skirt or the denim or wherever you want to clinch the waistline to spice up minimal looks.

Sheer Pieces –
It’s still wildly hot and you can definitely take the advantage of the current sheer-clothing trend as much as possible, this ’90s trend is making noise everywhere on the social platforms.

Baggy Pants –
After seeing it on the runway of Khaite, I have been loving this trend so much, pair them with bodysuits and statement belts with an oversized/roomy blazer. #posh even the basic white tank looks super chic.

Pretty Things –
The return of romantic dressing, fall/winter 2022 collections were filled with pretty things, from Fendi’s ruffled sheer slip dresses to Miu Miu’s satin bralettes paired with matching ballet flats. Going on a date? There is certainly no other trend that’s better than this one. Try it.

Puddle Pants –
One of the biggest trends to emerge this year, as the name suggests, extra-long and loose pants that seemingly flow into the ground creating a puddle effect around your ankles. The shift toward looser and baggier silhouettes has been steadily pacing for a few seasons now which is good news for someone like me, I no longer crave for fitted silhouettes, I am living in daddy clothes forever.

Marigold –
A shade nobody was expecting to see so much of during fashion weeks, but it ended up growing so quickly even before we realize it. A stick-of-butter hue has been the go-to shade of yellow during Milan fashion week, looks like the direction for fall is marigold.

Plain White Tank –
Basic? No longer at Bottega Veneta, Prada and a newcomer Mathieu Blazy. Pair one with jazziest skirt or sleekest leather trousers.

Tailoring gone wild –
Corporate tailoring is heading out-of-office for fall, and what could promise a more fabulous sabbatical than a fuchsia suit? Pierpaolo Piccioli bet big on the color for his Valentino show, splashing it over cocktail dresses and floor-sweeping gowns. But it was the oversized suiting that had its biggest impact. At Tom Ford, Alberta Ferretti and Etro, ’70s velvet was having a moment.

And that’s the end:)
