Bermuda shorts feel more appropriate for wearing to the office, not to mention they lend themselves well for layering too. You can also make them work with just about any shoe trend, from lug-sole boots to fancy flats. Bermudas experienced a mini renaissance (particularly in denim) last summer and now with Bella Hadid’s take on the trend, they’re virtually guaranteed to have another strong year. The very appropriate hot-pants alternative has managed to campaign its way into every fashion girl’s warm-weather wardrobe this season.

We’re dressing to the early 2000s in more ways than just one trend, from metallics to candy-colored clothing and accessories so, wearing denim shorts that extend below the kneecap should also be the pinnacle of summer street style in my opinion. I would rather eat arugula than wear full-length jeans in the New York heat lol:) With more pleasant temps on the horizon, now’s the perfect time to update your wardrobe to include a pair of long line shorts.
