The comeback of throwback trends proves the cyclical nature of fashion once again. The fact is if you hold onto your favorite pieces long enough, especially ones that made a statement once upon a time, chances are they will come back in style 10 years later. In every trend lifecycle, a point comes where after a period of peaking, it finally reaches its low point, but the strong trends always do come back. We have seen it in both, fashion and beauty, everything from animal print to purple eyeshadow to messy buns peeking through every once in a while. The revival of Y2K fashion through Y2K aesthetic clothing took place during global pandemic, making “we are still here” kind of a statement, louder than ever before.

From butterflies, parachute pants, baguette bags, chunky footwear to low rise skirts, all inspired by mid-90s and early 2000s, during the dot-com boom, when the internet world started to shape. The trend has slightly retro edge but with a futuristic touch.
