Delicate bra tops, lace bodysuits, visible layered innerwear and satin slip dresses are taking center stage, thanks to the multitude of sheer garments parading the runways. Lingerie was one of the key statements of the season from Miuccia Prada, Cynthia Rowley, Tom Ford, Tory Burch, and Donatella Versace, to name a few, skin is “in” again. While many trend ruled over this year, I didn’t see this “Granny inspired” trend coming though- The return of black lace.
Saint Laurent and Alaia who both gave the trend a big high fashion boost by including black lacy flared pants and tops within their fall-winter runway collections.
