The Spring/Summer 2023 runways were filled with memorable moments. Undoubtedly, it can be hard to keep track of all the noteworthy newness and choose which trends to welcome into your wardrobe rotation. The simplest solution? Recreate the most coveted color stories from the runways, and that way you will be set for the months ahead.
While pastels are inevitable from March to May, this season’s hue felt icy and futuristic. Marni and Jason Wu leaned into lilac while Alaia presented the perfect shade of powder blue. In contrast to the sweeter tones, the runways held a darker moment, too. Whether you’re looking to test a new hue or revamp your selection of neutrals, this season edit has versatile appeal.
Below, are spring color trends that scream, what’s next in fashion. Happy Scrolling!!

Mermaidcore Blue/Green –
Head turning color story at New York Fashion Week, prediction is fashion lovers will embrace the trend in coming months.
Slate Gray –
While gray may not quite be “the new black” but it is still owning its status as the coolest complementary neutral. Team your gray wares with pop of color – such as neon pink, Orange or Green.
Lavender –
Pops of purple have given way to sweeping, head-to-toe lilac looks. At Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung, it was all about monochrome, while Ulla Johnson and Marni opted for tonal eggplant and lavender hues.
Metallic moment –
Metallics are having its major moment this year from runways to street-style, add one metallic piece to your ensemble and you’ll see how the touch of metal changes the whole look. In my opinion gold shade really turns up the heat.
Limoncello –
Leela Rose and Phillip Lim utilized the color in ladylike silhouettes then punctuated the look with this head-turning hue. Sweet shade of yellow always feels approachable while packing just enough punch for a zesty addition to your spring pallet.
Blingy Sequins –
Lot of fashion brands have been saying YES to sequins lately, that phase has officially got over when sequins used to be a trending fashion only during holiday season. Looks like the trend is a go-to/preferred pattern among some of most famous fashion lovers. I feel sequins always brings a main character energy if styled it correctly.
Balletcore Pink –
One of my favorites, it’s not me if I don’t talk about pink, honestly if i have to categorize my wardrobe according to color story, I guarantee you pink is the shade that will win the reward. Lol:) Nostalgia for those who love Ballet as the trend originated from it. Try incorporating all pastel shades of pink this season.
And that’s the end:)
